Planning WFGP programs for the 2026 Semiquincentennial.
Bylaws
Reviews and proposes updates of the organization’s bylaws to the WFGP Board when deemed necessary.
Education
Develops and presents programs that instruct students on history in relation to Laurel Hill Mansion and the Constitution of the United States.
Finance
Works with the Treasure and Assistant Treasure.
Garden
Maintains the landscaping, develops new gardens, maintains the integrity of colonial style plantings and beautifies the grounds of Laurel Hill Mansion.
Gift Shop and Merchandise Sales
Organize and price items for sale in the holiday shop and at a variety of events. Holiday shop design.
History
Researches the history of Laurel Hill Mansion and it’s residents.
Holiday
Theme, design and installation of holiday decor or makes arrangements with a garden club or outside group to decorate.
Hospitality/Volunteers
Organizes and schedules volunteers to welcome and assist guests for events. Organizes food and supplies for events.
House
Reports repairs that need to be done to the structure of the house to insure its preservation. Arranges and manages all work done on the house. Oversees collection.
Membership
Develops materials to attract new members. Sends materials to prospective members and renewals to existing members, record member renewals and mails members a welcome letter and membership card.
Music
Organizes music programs at Laurel Hill Mansion. Responsibilities include the choosing of musicians, negotiating pay, setting the schedule. Works with the Hospitality Committee to create the back porch reception after concerts for the musicians and concert attendees.
Nominating
In election years a Nominating Committee of five (5) members is elected and prepares a slate for the election of Officers and the Board of Directors.
Program / Planning
Generates ideas for events at Laurel Hill and oversees the implementation of scheduled events.
Social Media
Posts information on Instagram and Facebook - Maintains and updates the WFGP and LHM websites - Publicizes events and programs - produces the WFGP / LHM quarterly newsletter.
Women's History Month
Plans Women History Month Programs, propose honorees and speakers and invites them to participate.
